Although time passes, there are things that remain intact, such as the case of Dodo’s Chicken Restaurant, which despite having its doors open for 20 years, its seasoning, freshness, and delight remain the same as those first days in April 1993. The reason behind This is because each food and the roast of the chicken are the priority of each day, working with love, professionalism, taking care of the original recipes, and serving its distinguished clientele with the usual charisma.
During these two decades the “flavor of ours” has been preserved with the fast service that Americans like so much and that is how every day the restaurant is visited by all kinds of people, ages and nationalities.
The roast chicken has no competition since its juiciness, the perfect term for roasting, freshness, and flavor are unique !! Generally, the clientele is impressed by seeing the chickens turn in the charcoal oven and they are amazed that their cooking lasts approximately two hours, unlike other roast chickens that are ready to be consumed in less than half of that time. the difference is noticeable on the first bite.
A little history…
At the beginning of the ’90s, these types of restaurants were not abundant in the city of Houston and its owner Iván Cataño, thought that the growing Latino community throughout the country wanted to have the experience of eating an appetizing roasted chicken accompanied by all the characteristic delicacies in Latin America such as rice, beans (red and black), a homemade chicken soup, sweet or ripe plantains and crisp greens such as patacones, fresh salads, fried or steamed yucca with garlic sauce, red potato with salt, the arepas, rice with chicken, desserts like rice pudding, flans, tres leches, etc. This list of foods also conquered the palate of foreigners and this is how they are visited by Americans, Hindus, Orientals, Africans, and also Europeans; Whoever tastes this seasoning is delighted and returns to repeat.
